Our Terms
Scope Exclusions
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, our quotes quote do not include:

Illustrations or artwork of any kind

Cover design or cover artwork
-
Interior formatting, layout, or typesetting
-
Chapter art or image integration
-
Creation of print-ready or ebook-ready files
-
Publisher or platform submission management (including Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or similar)
-
ISBN purchase or management
-
Marketing, advertising, or promotional materials
-
Ongoing revisions beyond the agreed scope
Any services not expressly listed in the accepted quote are excluded and will require a separate written quote and agreement before work can proceed.
Payment Terms

A 40% non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance of quotes and will be invoiced separately.

The remaining balance is payable in accordance with the project milestones outlined in the quote or, where no milestones are specified, upon delivery of the final files.

Work will not commence until the deposit has been received in.

All invoices are payable within 7 days unless otherwise stated in writing.

Late payments may result in work being paused until payment is brought up to date.
Terms & Conditions
Agreement & Commencement

All quotations constitute a binding agreement for services once accepted by the client in writing (including email acceptance).

Work will commence only after acceptance of the quote and receipt of the required deposit.
Scope of Work

The project fee covers only the services explicitly outlined in the accepted quote.

Requests for additional work, revisions beyond scope, or changes to the agreed deliverables will require a separate written quote and may affect timelines.
Review & Acceptance

Upon delivery of the final manuscript or files, the client is responsible for reviewing the work promptly.
-
Acceptance will be assumed if no written feedback is provided within a reasonable review period (typically 7–14 days, unless otherwise agreed).

Minor revisions within scope must be requested in writing during the review period.
Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing all required source materials, briefs, and feedback in a timely manner.

Delays in providing materials, approvals, or feedback may result in adjusted delivery timelines and do not constitute a breach of this agreement.
Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the adapted manuscript or written work will transfer to the client only upon payment of all outstanding invoices, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Ghost Gum Publishing retains the right to reference the work for portfolio or promotional purposes unless the client requests confidentiality in writing.
Termination
-
If the client cancels the project after work has commenced, the deposit will be retained, and any completed work up to that point may be invoiced on a pro-rata basis.

Ghost Gum Publishing reserves the right to terminate the agreement if the client breaches payment terms or engages in abusive or unreasonable conduct.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia.
